Exhibition
PREVIEW. Fotografie in Leipzig. Morgen.
»With a view to the artistic profiles of artists at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig who have recently graduated or
are still studying there, "Preview" asks two questions: What currently appears to be the aesthetically
unexpected in the photographic spectrum in the HGB environment?
What image of the future is transported by the unexpected?
Ultimately, it is all about an exhibition that addresses questions about a future that none of us can really foresee.
Who wants to claim that they are not interested in the future?«

»What role does the photographic image of humans play the contemporary society?
To what extent do (self-)stagings via Instagram, Facebook & Co and the constant circulation of images influence the examination of the portrait as a traditional genre of visual art?
These and other questions were at the centre of attention when, in early summer 2017, students from the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg met with professors Torsten Hattenkerl and Juergen Teller in the seclusion of the prefabricated concrete slab building
of the artists' residence Libken in the Uckermark.«

and manifestations of power and its exercise - collective practices that can be observed not only on a political level, but in numerous areas of social life such as art, culture and
science.
On display are installative, photographic, performative and filmic works by the following artists:
ACAD&C, Savita Kim, Paula Marie Kanefendt, Dean Dimensions and Ramona Schacht.
